# Schedule of IAVM Assessments

The **Institute for the Advancement of Vedic Mathematics (IAVM)** in cooperation with **MATH-Inic Philippines** will be conducting another round of online Foundation Level Assessments in March and April. This is to enable the area facilitators and trainers to gain their accreditation as coaches in the coming 4^{th} MATH-Inic Vedic Mathematics National Challenge(4^{th} MVMNC) scheduled on April 20, 2024.

The IAVM assessments are designed to rate an individual’s knowledge of Vedic Math. They are divided into three groups: Foundation Levels, Intermediate Levels, and Advanced Levels. Each group has three levels: Novice, Proficient, and Distinction.

Foundation Levels Novice, Proficient, and Distinction are also referred to as Level I, Level II, and Level III respectively. Currently, the **MATH-Inic Vedic Mathematics National Challenge**, the **Philippine National Vedic Mathematics Olympiad**, the **Math2Shine International Vedic Mathematics Competition**, and the **International Vedic Mathematics Olympiad** require passing the Level III assessment to be accredited as coaches.

Graduates of the Vedic Mathematics Teacher Training course (VMTTC) conducted by Sir Kenneth Williams under MATH-Inic Philippines and Math2Shine are likewise accredited as coaches in those competitions.

Level I is optional but passing Level II is a pre-requisite for taking the Level III exam. So far, only five have passed the Level III assessment. One of them was a grade 6 student at the time of the exam.

Students may take the assessments as part of their preparation for the VM competitions scheduled this year to familiarize themselves with the type of questions used.
