The Philippines dominated the IVMO for the 3rd time in a row.

The Philippines again displayed its mastery over the competitors from 6 other countries in the 3rd International Vedic Mathematics Olympiad (IVMO 2023) held last November 25, 2023. The 4,936 Filipino mathletes from 64 centers won a total of 244 Gold, 488 Silver, 746 Bronze and 1376 Merit Awards.


The Philippines also bagged 18 out of the 19 top three placers in the six categories of the Olympiad.

Juniors (13 years and younger)

Upper Primary (11 years and younger)

Lower Primary (9 years and younger)

Last year, with a total of 1,850 contestants from 10 countries, the Philippines won 152 Gold, 329 Silver and 520 Bronze awards which is 90% of all the awards given. The Philippines also topped 5 of the 6 age groups. During the first staging of the Olympiad in 2021, with about 450 competitors from 8 countries, the Philippine won 35 Gold, 70 Silver and 107 Bronze awards which is about 75% of the awards given. For this feat, Kenneth Williams, foremost author of Vedic Math books remarked: “The Philippines must be the flagship country in Vedic Math education in the world!” Competitors from India, United States of America, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Japan and Italy also participated in the 2023 edition of IVMO which is considered the most prestigious VM competition in the world.
